40,000 words (again)

I did it. Rooks of Burgundy as officially passed 40,000 words. It did once before but that was just a false alarm as I lost around 3000 words. I was pretty frustrated and I am waiting to rewrite that part until I'm done with everything else. Just today by pure chance I ran across a story. Andrew Lloyd Webber was creating a musical score for show when his cat crawled up onto his digital piano where all his information was stored and deleted the entire score. Ouch. Needless to say that made feel a lot better. Partially because it was for a sequel for The Phantom of the Opera and there just shouldn't be a sequel.
